How to Make a Lychee Ginger Collins Cocktail: Craft Recipe & Expert Tips

A vibrant sparkling highball cocktail that blends floral and fruit flavours into a refreshingly elegant crowd-pleaser. Delicately sweet lychee is well-balanced by the warmth of the ginger syrup (bottled works well, but homemade lets you tailor the spice level to your guests’ taste. It’s just a little more time-consuming.



Base Spirit: Gin

Flavour Profile: Fruity, floral, refreshing

Glassware: Highball (320ml-370ml)

Occasion: Birthday parties, engagement celebrations, garden parties

Created For: A 100 guest 21st birthday party with a black tie / masked ball theme



Ingredients:

  • 1 Pre-Cut Orange Peel

  • 50 ml Gin

  • 20 ml Lychee Juice / Lychee Purée

  • 20 ml Ginger Syrup

  • 15 ml Lemon Juice

  • 60 ml Cranberry Juice

  • 120 ml Soda Water



How to make:

  1. Select and pre-chill a highball glass.

  2. Peel a strip of orange zest, trim the ends diagonally and set aside.

  3. Fill the glass with cubed ice.

  4. Add gin, lychee juice/purée , ginger syrup, and lemon juice.

  5. Stir gently for 4-5 seconds.

  6. Top with cranberry juice and soda water.

  7. Stir again for 4-5 seconds.

  8. Float the orange peel on the surface as garnish
